FMS Health and Safety provides customized, movement based solutions that enable employees to meet the physical demands of their occupation and lifestyle. Our program assists employers and employees to keep employees on the job by decreasing their risk for injury, bolstering their resiliency and enhancing their quality of life.
Using proprietary, movement based risk management strategies we assist companies striving to decrease workers compensation costs and recordable injury rates via comprehensive assessment, data collection and analysis and targeted program design.
At FMS HS we use a proprietary screen to objectively evaluate both the health and movement ability of your workers. Our screen evaluates an individual’s ability to move through complex movement patterns, their capacity for mobility, and their capacity for stability across a variety of joint systems.
Using the data from our proprietary screening process we give each employee we work with a corrective exercise routine to complete. Rather than using a ‘one size fits all’ approach, the corrective exercises are based on the actual needs of the person expressed in the screening process.
At FMS HS we believe the key to lasting improvements lies in education. We teach each person we work with how to best take care of themselves in three primary categories of health: movement, nutrition, and recovery.
Simply put, you need our program because it is going to reduce your workforce’s risk of experiencing musculoskeletal injuries and save you money associated with both the direct and indirect costs of those injuries. To expand upon this, our program has proven itself to reduce not only the quantity of lost time injuries, but also the duration of the time away due to those injuries.
The charts above depict the results of one of our clients, who employs approximately 1400 people, has achieved year over year. As you can see in figure 1, the quantity of injuries has been reduced. Additionally, in figures 2 and 3 you can see the days lost resulting from injury have plummeted by almost 1000 days, and the days lost per strain and sprain have been more than cut in half.
The impact of the results you see above go beyond the costs associated with each specific injury. Reducing the quantity and duration of lost time strain and sprain injuries for any company will have a positive impact upon their DART Rate and Experience Modification Rate. Each of these rates play a significant role in determining a company’s financial obligations for worker’s compensation insurance premiums.
Using this program, we mitigate risks associated with poor movement and health, and save you money associated with costs for injuries and costs for insurance premiums. For more information regarding how we do it please click here.
